Who We Are
Good Shepherd Services is a recognized leader in residential treatment and behavioral health services. Our program provides clinical and educational programming for adolescents ranging in age from 12-21 years old who are experiencing severe psychiatric, emotional, behavioral problems. We operate within the framework of respect for each person’s potential for growth and the right to receive education.
Our Philosophy: Good Shepherd Services is designed to cultivate a sense of achievement, to encourage self-determination, problem-solving, decision-making, a sense of responsibility and service, the strengthening of interpersonal and family relationships, and to promote an understanding of moral and ethical values.

Good Shepherd Services is accredited by The Joint Commission and is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Good Shepherd School, which is located on the grounds of Good Shepherd Services, is approved by the Maryland State Board of Education as a non-public Type I residential and day Special Education Program as well as a non-public Type I General Education Program for students in grades 8 through 12.
